fire tower
Inspired by 1900’s Rocky Mountain rustic architecture; this fire tower is an extension to one family’s custom home, and was designed specifically to take in the stunning views of the Estes Valley. To ensure an authentic rustic style, the fire tower was constructed using locally sourced materials such as reclaimed windows from the historic Twin Owls Lodge, milled logs from the Poudre Canyon forest fire, an old style wood-burning stove and sawn Douglas Fir flooring. These features create a charming space that invites visitors to take a step back in time. Phil was given the opportunity to be one of the craftsmen on this project who helped put the finishing touches on this unique fire tower.
